Using Fast Transcriber
These terms apply to your use of the Fast Transcriber mobile app and its connected transcription service, provided by Malik Elate. By using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
The app lets you submit supported audio, video and media links for transcription, manage account-scoped history and export results. An internet connection is required for authentication and transcription. Available features and limits depend on your account, plan, supported formats and service availability.
For the iOS app, Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement governs the app license. These terms address the connected Fast Transcriber service and do not remove rights provided by that agreement or applicable consumer law.
Your account
Provide accurate account information and keep your sign-in credentials and verification codes secure. You are responsible for activity you authorize through your account. Contact support if you believe someone else has gained access.
Do not use another person’s account without permission, bypass authentication or account limits, or interfere with other users’ data or access.
Your content and permissions
You retain your rights in the recordings, files and other content you submit. You give Fast Transcriber permission to receive, store, process and transmit that content only as needed to provide the service you request and manage the associated account history, support and security.
Only record, upload or link to content you are authorized to process. You are responsible for obtaining any required permission from speakers, copyright owners or other rights holders and for following the laws that apply to recording and personal information.
A publicly accessible link does not itself grant permission to copy or transcribe the content. Do not use the service to bypass paywalls, access restrictions or a third-party service’s terms.
AI-generated results
Transcription, timestamps and speaker labels are generated automatically and can contain errors or omissions. Background noise, language, recording quality and overlapping speech can affect results. Review and correct the output before relying on it or sharing it.
The service does not provide certified transcripts or professional medical, legal or other specialist advice. Do not treat an unchecked transcript as a definitive record in a situation where an error could cause harm.
Plans and existing subscriptions
A free download does not mean that every feature or unlimited usage is included. Free accounts have usage and file-size limits. The app shows the access and limits associated with your account; existing paid accounts may have additional entitlements.
If you have a subscription purchased on the Fast Transcriber website, the price, billing period and renewal terms shown when you purchased it govern that subscription. Website billing is administered through Stripe. Contact support for help managing or canceling an existing subscription.
Uninstalling the app or signing out does not cancel a subscription. Any refund request is handled under the terms that applied to the purchase and applicable consumer law. Nothing here limits mandatory refund or cancellation rights.
Acceptable use
Do not submit illegal material, malicious files, content that infringes others’ rights, or personal information you are not authorized to process. Do not attempt to access other users’ transcripts, overwhelm the service, bypass usage controls or compromise its security.
We may reject a request or restrict abusive use when reasonably necessary to protect the service, comply with law or protect other people. Contact support if you believe a restriction was applied in error.
Privacy and account closure
The app privacy policy explains the information processed by the service, third-party processing, retention and how to request access, correction or deletion.
You can stop using the app at any time. Contact support@fast-transcriber.com for account-closure or data-deletion requests. Keep any exports you need before requesting removal of your saved history. A request to close an account is separate from cancellation of an existing paid subscription.
Availability and responsibility
Processing times and availability can vary. We may maintain, change or temporarily interrupt parts of the service, and third-party media sources or providers may become unavailable. We do not promise uninterrupted operation or error-free transcription.
Keep your own copy of important source files and exported results. To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided as available without a guarantee that it will meet every particular purpose. These terms do not exclude liability or consumer protections that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms as the service changes. The current version and update date will be available on this page. We will provide any notice required by applicable law for material changes.
